I went to Israel this past summer with my mom on a special trip for my bat mitzvah. She took me to visit Shalva's new center in Jerusalem and I was so amazed! This is the most incredible place. They have everything to make kids happy. The center is so beautiful with lots of light and art, and a huge swimming pool. There are toys and music and all kinds of therapies and activities for children who have disabilities. Shalva helps the kids and also the kids families and this means a lot to me, because of my brothers. Shalva even has a band and they have performed on TV. Shalva does amazing work and they have won lots of awards in Israel. The people who work with the kids are all volunteers and the programs are free for the children and their families. Please help me raise money for Shalva for my bat mitzvah.
