As I become bar mitzvah it is important for me to do something meaningful for the Jewish community in Israel. By helping raise money for the children of Shalva, I can ensure that children with disabilities have the opportunity to reach their individual full potential. Just as I have enjoyed playing on my school basketball team the past two years, I want to help support the Shalva Hapoel Jerusalem basketball team so that children with disabilities can develop important motor skills, like coordination and stamina, as well as social skills facilitating teamwork and performance. I hope the children of Shalva can experience the same joy and passion for sports that I have. Sports are a platform for social inclusion and bonding and I can’t wait to meet the children of Shalva and play ball with them this summer. Please help me raise funds to support this special cause.

Shalva provides an all encompassing range of services for thousands of people with disabilities from infancy to adulthood and their families. Shalva gives equal access an opportunity to all participants regardless of religion, ethnic background or financial capability.
